We are holding a Macmillan Coffee Morning on FRIDAY 25th SEPTEMBER. This will start at 9.30am. The Year 1 and 2 children are busy creating posters and preparing for the coffee morning. They will be making some yummy treats and getting creative with how to raise money! Please come and join us to celebrate their hard work and to fundraise for a fantastic charity. More information will be sent to families.
If you would like to donate any cakes or want to get involved, please speak to Mrs Stevenson.

Home-learning
BBC Bitesize
We are already busy learning about place value in maths. BBC Bitesize have some fantastic resources that you can access at home to help your child in maths. There are videos and games to play that link to the learning that they are doing in school:

Read Write Inc/Reading
Thank you for all your support so far with reading at home. It is making a huge difference, and the children's reading at home has come on leaps and bounds!
I know phonics can be a little bit terrifying, so I have found a really simple and useful video that goes through all the sounds and shows you how to pronounce them.

Year 2 children are working really hard on their fluency with reading. Please keep reading at home with your child and encourage them to read with expression! We will be sending out reading activities in their book bags so they can keep practising.
