Pupil Voice

Staff are always here to listen to their ideas and give them opportunity to express themselves. Our UNICEF ambassadors have now been chosen in Year 5 and 6 and are in the process of electing their Year 3 and 4 Junior Ambassadors.

Pupil Questionnaire Results -

December 2017/2018

We conducted a whole school pupil voice in the Autumn term (our first this academic year) to see what the pupils thought of our school and the areas in which we need to improve.

We broke down the results into Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. In addition to this, we looked at class learning and learning outside at break and lunchtimes.

When comparing the results to the last Pupil Voice at the end of 2016/17, we see an improvement in your behaviour and attitudes to learning.

See the table below:

Key Stage Summer 2016/17 Autumn 2017/18 Difference (%)
KS1 Class learning 82% thought behaviour and attitudes were excellent.

90% thought behaviour and attitude were excellent.

8% increase

KS2 Class learning 57% thought behaviour and attitudes were excellent. 62% thought behaviour and attitude were excellent.      5% increase
KS2 Outdoor learning 54% thought behaviour and attitudes were excellent.

83% thought behaviour and attitudes were excellent.

29% increase

Church Buddies

Having listened to our Year 1 and 2 children at our school, they asked if someone could help them when in church as some have never been to a mass in school before. Our Year 6 children duly obliged and the Church Buddy system was created.

Year 5 and 6 take the Year 1 and 2 children over to the church, sit next to them and help them with the responses we have to learn in mass. What fantastic role models! Thank you Year 5 and 6.

Pupil Voice Feedback 2017/18

This year you asked for a comments box on your Pupil Voice to explain your choices. Here is a list of some of the comments you made and what the school has done to help solve these for you.
