Meet our School Sports Organising Crew. A boy and girl represent each class in KS2 to organise internal events and competitions. In November they helped to organise the Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser which raised over £500 for the British Heart Foundation.

Their next task will be to organise a Dodgeball competition between houses.

St. Ambrose School  is committed to Physical Education. We timetable 2 hours of PE for all KS1 and KS2 classes each week. In addition we offer a wide range of extra curricular clubs and the opportunity to take part in competitions at different levels. In recognition of this, St Ambrose were awarded the Sainsbury's School Games Bronze Mark.

This is our amazing Hi-5 Netball team who have progressed to the Citywide Finals.

Good luck for Monday 13th June!

Congratulations to our brilliant boys football team who competed in the Manchester citywide finals on May 17th. They are the 8th best team in Manchester.

Well done to our fantastic girls football team who competed in the Manchester citywide finals in April. They are officially the 11th best team in Manchester.

On Friday 20th November, the whole school took part in a sponsored skipping event called 'Jump Rope for Heart' to raise money to support the fabulous work the British Heart Foundation do. Please remember to return your sponsor forms and money raised to school by Monday 30th November. Thank you for all your efforts in supporting this great cause.

On Tuesday 15th and Tuesday 22nd September, our Cross Country Teams competed in the Central & East Manchester Cross Country competition. Both the boys and girls team have qualified for the Citywide Finals on Tuesday 10th November. Our Boys team were overall winners for our area. Good luck on 10th November!

St Ambrose works with other schools in the Chorlton Cluster to arrange friendly competitions between our schools. On Tuesday 13th October, Old Moat hosted a football competition. Our team played 3 games with the results: won one, drew lone, lost one. The competition was a good opportunity to practice for the Wythenshawe Boys League which starts on Thursday.

Well done to our boys football team who won their league in the final round of the Wythenshawe Boy's Football league on Thursday 5th November. They now go on to play in the Citywide finals at Whalley Range High School in April 2016.
