 Welcome to a new and exciting school year for the Year 6 students. It will be their last at St.Ambrose and definitely the best! We've got lots of enjoyable learning to do this year and can't wait to get started.

Fire Safety

Year 6 had a visit from the Greater Manchester Fire service who gave a talk about their SAFE4Autumn campaign.

Fencing

Year 6 had their first fencing session this week. They learnt about the equipment they will be using and the basic techniques. It was a great session and Brett was our first star fencer. The class are really looking forward to next week's lesson.

Important Dates

There is a number of important Year 6 dates to share with you throughout the school year. I will post as many dates in advance as I can on this section of our website.

  • Meet the Teacher meeting - Monday 10th September
  • Mass at St. Ambrose church to celebrate the feast day of St. Ambrose.
  • Cross Country competition - Tuesday 11th September and Tuesday 18th September
  • Year 6 class assembly - Thursday 13th September @ 2:45pm
  • Final fencing session - Wednesday 17th October.
