Curriculum

Over the last three years, we have developed and grown our whole school curriculum into something rather special. It is broad and balanced and fulfils all requirements, but goes much further than that. It is underpinned by BIG Questions to raise awareness and develop critical thinkers and who become inspired to make a difference and change the world! The intent of our curriculum is to grow advocates for change. The implementation of our curriculum is carefully planned to ensure progression in knowledge, skills and understanding. The long terms overviews can be found on each class web page. The impact of our curriculum can be seen and heard when you talk with our children, through the high quality of learning which is produced in their books and the outstanding learning environments.

Principle:  Transformation of self into transformation of society.

International Primary Curriculum

The school delivers the International Primary Curriculum. The school fundamentally believes that children will be better equipped for life beyond school if they are more globally aware. As a school we define international mindedness as:

"To have an awareness of ourselves and others"

Great learning, great teaching and great fun…

The IPC is one of the fastest-growing curriculum choices in the world today, with over 1,900 schools in over 90 different countries. It is a comprehensive curriculum for 5-12 year olds, made up of over 100 exciting, engaging and globally relevant thematic units of learning, which are designed around a clear process of learning and with specific learning goals for subject, personal and international learning.

Our Learning Process

The children use the IPC Learning Process in every unit across school. Our learning process provides a structure to ensure all children's learning experiences are engaging and meticulous.
